TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES – 2024/25 INTAKE BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (BSNM) – UPGRADING
Malawi College of Health Sciences is inviting applications from suitably qualified male and female candidates to pursue the face-to-face Bachelors degree programme in Nursing and Midwifery (Upgrading) in the 2024/2025 Academic Year at Lilongwe Campus.
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING AND MIDWIFERY – UPGRADING-LILONGWE CAMPUS
Scholarships: MCHS-HRH Project with funding from USAID
Number ofScholarships:50 (shall provide tuition fees & upkeep based on Project’s approved budget and Work-Plan)
Eligibility: Applicants must be serving Nurse Midwife Technicians with a minimum of 4 years experience
Duration: 3 Years
ADMISSION REQUIRMENTS:
Applicants must have:
- An MSCE/IGSCE or other internationally recognised qualification comparable to MSCE or ‘O’ level certificates with at least six credits. The credit passes must be in English, Mathematics, Biology, Physical Science and any other two subjects. Those who obtained their MSCE after 2018 should have credits in English, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and another credit in any other subject. In both cases the aggregate points should not be more than 30.
- A College Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Technician or its equivalent from an accredited institution,
- Current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi,
- A minimum of 4 years clinical working experience post Nurse Midwife Technician (NMT) qualification.
- Note: The following is the interpretation of IGCSE results for admission purposes: A+= 1; A = 2; B = 3; C=4, 5; D=7; EFG = 8

Closing date for receiving application letters for all courses is Friday, 1st November, 2024.
Applications submitted without the application fee will not be processed. Candidates that would also submit Certificates that have not been certified by relevant authority will also not be processed.

Students who were once withdrawn from Malawi College of Health Sciences on either academic or disciplinary grounds are not eligible to register for admission let alone write Entrance Examinations.
