TENDER NOTICE
Procurement of 680 Classroom Desks.
1. Background
Rays of Hope Ministries is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) duly registered in Malawi. The organization exists to transform Malawi by equipping teachers and educating children and youth. It envisions to see every child and youth access transformative education.
With technical and financial support from Save the Children International, Rays of Hope collaborates with Government partners, Save the Children International, YODEP and Future All in implementing the Abwenzi A Ana Program in Ntcheu in 103 primary schools. The Abwenzi A Ana Program thrives to see all children in Ntcheu particularly girls most affected by inequality and discrimination are protected from sexual violence and exploitation by 2032.
2. Description of Items
One of the pathways of contributing towards the achievement of the Abwenzi A Ana goal is to increase access to quality teaching and learning materials for all learners and children with disabilities. It is against this background that Rays of Hope would like to procure classroom desks which matches the following description:

3. Eligibility Criteria
The supplier should meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Should have a proven track record of at-least three years in furniture business and experience in making or supplying classroom desks.
- Have the capacity and ability to supply the desks within specified time frame of 30 days.
- Shall be registered with Malawi Revenue Authority
- Have a clean history of not engaging in child labour, child slavery or human trafficking/modern slavery or any form of child exploitation or abuse
4. Submission Details
Bids must be delivered by Thursday 12 September, 2024, 16:45 hours local time.
Deposit the package in the tender box located on the entrance of Rays of Hope Offices in Blantyre. Electronic submission will not be accepted, and late proposals will not be reviewed.
