The United States of America and the Government of the Republic of Malawi (the “Government”) signed on September 28, 2022, a Millennium Challenge Compact (“Compact” for an amount of US$ 350 Million, for a program to advance economic growth and reduce poverty in Malawi. The Government, acting through the Millennium Challenge Account-Malawi II (MCA-Malawi II), intends to apply a portion of the proceeds to eligible payments for the construction of in-kind compensation houses and commercial stand-alone structures to be built in Mangochi, Ntcheu, Lilongwe, Mchinji, Kasungu, Mzimba and Rumphi districts along the Corridor Roads of Accelerated Growth Corridors (“AGC”) Project of the Compact.
Any payments made under the proposed contracts will be subject, in all respects, to the terms and conditions of the Compact and related documents, including restrictions on the use and distribution of MCC Funding. The Compact and its related documents can be found at the MCC website (www.mcc.gov).
The Government has designated the MCA-Malawi II, to implement Government’s responsibilities under the Compact.
Work Order Award shall comprise the Construction of In-Kind Compensation Houses and Commercial Stand Alone Structures to be built in Mangochi, Ntcheu, Lilongwe, Mchinji, Kasungu, Mzimba and Rumphi districts; in the varying mix of the following
Types of Structure:
Single Storey Dwelling Houses (1 to 4 Bedrooms), Outdoor Kitchen, Outdoor Ablution Block and Single Storey Commercial Buildings (Shops: Option 1 and 2).

Offers must be submitted electronically to the link specified in DS-ITO 22.1 (c) of the Bidding
Document, no later than 3.00 PM Local Time, on 5th November, 2024.
Offers will be publicly opened on the date and time, and in the presence of the Offerors’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend in the manner prescribed in DS-ITO 26.1 of the Bidding Document
All Offers must be accompanied by the required Bid Security, in the amount, currency and format of the Form of Bid Security.
