REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS TO SUPPLY SPECIALIZED MOBILE OUTREACH VEHICLES

Backgrounds

World Vision (WV) is a global Christian relief, development and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families and communities to overcome poverty and injustice. World Vision started its operations in Malawi in 1982 and had over the years worked in a number of communities with an overall aim of improving the well-being of children through development program approach.

World Vision Malawi (WVM) invites qualified suppliers to submit bids for the supply of four customized mobile outreach vehicles. These vehicles will support the Adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) programme in Mulanje, Thyolo, Chikwawa, and Balaka districts by providing essential health services in hard-to-reach areas.

Key Features and Requirements:

Flooring: High-quality vinyl flooring

Walls and Ceiling: PVC foam board cladding, insulated and water-treated panels, partitioned sections for counseling and clinical use, concertina sliding door for privacy, and PVC ceiling.

Counseling Section: Equipped with a desktop unit, attendant seat, double bench, frosted windows, and storage cabinet.

Clinical Room: Fitted with a lithotomy/gynae patient bed, hand wash basin, 40L I2V automotive fridge, lockable storage cabinets, and essential medical equipment including a wall-mounted blood pressure meter.

Generator Storage Area: Dedicated space for a generator and general storage.

Interior Lighting: LED lights for both counseling and clinical rooms, and an LED examination lamp.

Upholstery: Safe, neat, and comfortable interior with privacy curtains and padded door bumpers.

Electrical System: Deep cycle auxiliary battery, 4 KVA generator, solar panel with charge controller, and multiple 220V plug points.

Fire Extinguisher: 2.5kg DCP type fire extinguisher in the patient compartment.

Air Conditioning: 220V automotive air-conditioner ducted to cool both rooms.

Step: Portable steps for easy entry and exit.

Submission Requirements

  • Detailed vehicle specifications meeting the outlined requirements.
  • Proof of capability and previous experience in supplying specialized vehicles.
  • Financial proposal including delivery timelines.

The ITB will be sent through a sourcing event from COUPA- World Vision International procurement online system within 24hrs upon receipt of an email of expression of interest from the bidder. Expression of interest should not be sent later than 13th September, 2024.

Proposal Submission Details

Submission of tenders should be on or before Wednesday, 18th September, 2024 at 17:00 hours Lilongwe time. Proposals must be sent through the:
