REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) FOR THE PROVISION OF VARIOUS GOODS AND SERVICES

Closing on Tuesday, 31st July 2024 at 24hrs (Malawi Time)

A. Background

  1. The United Nations World Food Programme hereinafter referred to as the “WFP”, with its Headquarters located in Via C.G. Viola, 68/70, 00148 Rome, Italy is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies, and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. About 17,000 people work for the organization, most of them in remote areas, directly serving the hungry poor.
  2. The WFP, through its Country Office in Malawi, intends to update the Goods and Services roster for companies/organizations meeting the requirements.
  3. WFP Malawi invites eligible service providers to express their interest in providing below goods and services:
    • Engineering/Mechanical services for repair and servicing of warehouse equipment including stacking machines, conveyors, pallet jacks, forklifts, digital platform scales, and stitching machines.
    • Handyman services
    • Solar installation and services
    • Maintenance of office equipment (Printers, A/Cs, water dispensers, etc.)
    • Electrical and generator services
    • Supply and maintenance of CCTV cameras

B. The purpose of this EOI
The purpose of this EOl request is to identify and shortlist service providers with verified capacity to provide comprehensive services for WFP within Malawi. Eligible vendors will be included in the WFP vendor roster.

After the deadline for submission, WEP will evaluate the responses received and will notify eligible participants of the outcome of the evaluation.

C. How to prepare and submit your Expression of Interest

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the provision of services to National/Multinational organization
  • Company Profile, including printed brochures and product catalogues relevant to the goods/services being procured not more than 15 pages.
  • Latest Audited Financial Statement (Income Statement and Balance Sheet) including approved Auditor’s Report for the past 3 years.
  • Tax Registration/Payment Certificate issued by the Revenue or appropriate Authority evidencing that the Bidder is updated with its tax payment obligations or Certificate of Tax exemption, if any such privilege is enjoyed by the Bidder (applicable for companies that are operating in Malawi).
  • Copy of legal registration certificate of the business to provide services, including Articles of Incorporation, or equivalent document.

All supporting documentation listed above shall be prepared in accordance with the instructions provided, in one pot (less than 8 MB) via email and sent to lilongwe.procurement@wfp.org. The email subject must be your company’s legal name only.

WFP will not consider incomplete or unsigned submissions. All responses and supporting documentation received will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be made available to the public.

This request for Expression of interest does not constitute a solicitation.

WFP reserves the right to change or cancel this procurement process or any of its requirements at any time during the process; any such action will be communicated to all participants.
