Procurement Reference Number: KUHES/S/EOI/24/08
The Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHeS) has developed a Performance Management Policy, which will be used as a tool for implementation of its Strategic Plan. KUHeS appreciates that successful implementation of the Performance Management Policy requires that staff are imparted with the necessary skills and knowledge and are familiar with the requisite tools and processes. This is to be achieved through orientation and training of all staff on performance management.
To achieve this, KUHeS has allocated funds under its 2024/2025 budget and intends to apply part of the proceeds of these funds towards the cost of engaging a consultant to orient and train its staff on performance management and its linkage with the Strategic Plan.

- Deliver orientation and training to staff on the key features of the Strategic Plan and Performance Management Policy with a focus on the linkage between the two;
- Train key implementing offices including Council members, Management, Heads of Departments and Trainer of Trainers on how the Strategic Plan can be translated into institutional and individual performance goals and targets;
- Train staff on the development of SMART key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Submit recommendations for improvement in the implementation of KUHES’ performance management.
Required skills and experiences:
This is a very technical exercise that requires a highly experienced and qualified Consultant, who should have at least the following attributes:
