REQUEST FOR BIDS TO SUPPLY WHITE MAIZE TO THE NATIONAL FOOD RESERVE AGENCY (NFRA)
The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) is a Trust established by the Malawi Government on 5th June 1999 to assume responsibility for the management of the Country’s Strategic Food Reserves (SFR). The Agency has available funds for the procurement of Non-Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) White Maize locally. The maize will be delivered at NFRA depots located at Kanengo in Lilongwe, Luchenza in Thyolo, Limbe in Blantyre, Bangula in Nsanje and in Mangochi.
A total of 80,000 MT of non-GMO maize (White) is required for the Strategic Food Reserve (SGR)
1. Procurement details
Below is a list of maize grain quality guiding specifications;

| Have adequate maize quality as applied meeting the quality specifications | 40% |

| Have experience in supplying Non-GMO white maize grain in Malawi | 20% |
| Proof of Financial Capacity to supply all the required tonnage within 3 weeks from date of signing the contract | 30% |
3. Application process
Maize grain suppliers who meet the above requirements should submit their application(s) which should include the following;
- Application letter expressing interest to supply;
- Prices should be inclusive of all applicable taxes and must be marked clearly in Malawi Kwacha;
- Prices should include transportation to NFRA depots;
- Copies of relevant company documents;
- Applicants should indicate their bidding tonnages.

Kindly note that all successfully evaluated bidders shall be subjected to due-diligence as determined by the Agency.
Completed bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes and endorsed on the outside with the advertised tender number TEND NRA/02/24: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF NON-GM MAIZE’
