1. The Malawi Government, through the Ministry of Education, has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Skills for A Vibrant Economy (SAVE) Project, one Component of which is being implemented by the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of Specialized Engineering Equipment.

2. The Chairperson, Internal_ Procurement and Disposal Committee, Malawi University of Science and Technology, now invites sealed Bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the Supply and Delivery of the said goods as specified below:

Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers dated November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from address given in 8(a) and inspect the bidding document during office hours 7:30am to 4:30pm at the address given in 8(a) below from Monday to Friday except on Public holidays.

5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of MKW10,000.00 The method of payment will be Cash or equivalent in a freely convertible currency.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below 8(b) on or before 10.00am local time on 27th August, 2024. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bias will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below 8(c) at 10.00am local time on 27th August, 2024.

7. All Bids must be accompanied by a duly signed Bid-Securing Declaration.
