REQUEST FOR BIDS

SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF PREFORMS UNDER FRAMEWORK AGREEMENT

Date of Issue: Tuesday, 11th June 2024

1. Lilongwe Water Board, a Statutory Corporation mandated under the Waterworks Act No. 17 of 1995 to supply potable water to the City of Lilongwe, has budgeted funds under recurrent expenditures and intends to apply part of the funds for the Supply and Delivery of Preforms for Water Bottling Plant under Framework Agreement.

2. Lilongwe Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and Delivery of the following:

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures and in full compliance with the provisions of Malawi’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 27 of 2017 and its Subsidiary Legislations. Bidding is open to all bidders as defined in the Bidding Document.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Lilongwe Water Board and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below at 7(a) from 7:30 to 16:30 hours from Monday to Friday during working days.

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested Bidders’ application to the address below at 7(b) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MWK10, 000.00 or equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be Cash or Bank Certified Cheque at the Lilongwe Water Board Head Office. The Bidding Document may be collected from Lilongwe Water Board Procurement and Disposal Unit offices (PDU). No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Sealed Bids marked with the procurement reference number should be deposited in the Tender Box on or before 14:00 Hours local time on Wednesday, 10th July 2024. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address given in 7(c) above at 14:00 hours local time on Wednesday, 10th July 2024. Late bids shall be rejected.
