FOR THE PROVISION OF STAFF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER

AT SELF HELP AFRICA

Self Help Africa Malawi is an international non-governmental organisation working to create opportunities for lasting improvement in peoples’ lives. We work in partnership with others to support a range of livelihoods and food security, WASH and health, sustainable energy and gender equality programmes reaching over 1,000,000 people a year across Malawi. Globally, we work in nine countries across Africa, Asia and South America, however our Malawi programme is by far and away our largest and most established country programme. SHA currently operates in 17 districts in Malawi, supporting 24 on-going projects. This is an exciting time to join us as we seek to tackle the global challenges in progressive and innovative ways.

SHA wishes to contract a reputable Insurance Company, to provide Inpatient and Outpatient medical services at a cost in line with SHA budget. Bidders shall quote for both in-and out-patient medical insurance cover.

The insurance underwriting company will be expected to provide a scheme that entails benefits which ensure members of staff receive quality health care. While it is appreciated that medical schemes come with inherent controls andprocedures, SHA is hoping that the selected provider will look at the possibility of ensuring that any controls andprocedures are not unnecessarily bureaucratic and cumbersome.

The Insurance provider is expected to perform the outlined tasks efficiently and on schedule over a one-year period, from August 2024 to July 2025. And it is mandatory that they must have established offices and a valid license to operate in Malawi.
