PRE-QUALIFICATION OF SUPPLIERS TO SUPPLY AND DELIVER DESKS AT RUMPHI, MCHINJI AND CHIKWAWA TEACHERS’ TRAINING COLLEGES

NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB)

  1. The Government of Malawi through the Ministry of Education has constructed Rumphi, Mchinji and Chikwawa Teachers Training Colleges. The Ministry has budgeted funds in 2024/25 Financial Year and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payment for the supply and delivery of Classroom Desks.
  2. The Ministry of Education now invites applications from eligible bidders to be prequalified for this procurement
  3. Prospective suppliers should meet the following requirements:
    1. Business Registration Certificate
    2. Tax Payment Identification Certificate (TPIN)
    3. Tax Clearance Certificate for the 2023-24 Financial Year (Authenticated)
    4. Valid Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Authority (PPDA) Registration Certificate
    5. Company Profile indicating the names of Directors of the firm and banking details
    6. Physical address of the Company
    7. Evidence of Previous Contracts of similar items (Within the Last Two Years-Reference letters from reputable organizations or attach copies of LPOs or Contracts awarded).
    8. Evidence of access to financial resources (Proof of Lines of Credit).
    9. Signed application letter for Prequalification clearly expressing interest to participate in this procurement.
    10. Application should be registered before dropping your bid into the bid Tender Вох.

  • Only hard copies will be accepted
  • Ministry of Education reserves the right to verify and authenticate information provided without consulting the applicants (Physical verification and documents provided).

4.0 Mode of submission
Bid documents must be deposited into a Tender Box before 10:00hrs local time on 16 July, 2024, after registration in Room 71, with following submission details:

6.0 Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened. Bidders and/or their representatives and members of the general public may attend the opening of the bids at 10:00hrs local time on 16th July, 2024.

7.0 Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act of 2017.

8.0 Participation is open to all eligible bidders.

9.0 Only shortlisted Contractors shall participate in the final stage.
