The Evangelical Lutheran Development Service (ELDS) is a Development service arm of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Malawi (ELCM). It was established in 1989 in response to a request from ELCM and Malawi Government, primarily to assist the Mozambican Refugees who were in Malawi then.
Compelled by the love of Christ ELDS works in rural areas to reduce human suffering and poverty through sustainable development (Food and Nutrition Security, Microfinance, marketing and value addition; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Health Services (Maternal and Child Health, Sexual Reproductive Health and other emerging issues); Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management; HIV and AIDS, Community Based Psychosocial Support, Gender, Human Rights and advocacy as cross cutting.
Evangelical Lutheran Development Service now invites registered firms and business enterprises with capacity to submit Expression of interest documents to ELDS for the purpose of pre-qualification to supply/provide goods, works and services in the following categories:
CATEGORY A – GOODS

The applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Certified copy of Business Certificate
- Physical/postal address and all other relevant contact details
- Provide a sumarized company profile includinga capacity statement with years of operational experience.
- Provide a valid PDP certificate
- Provide a list of atleast most recent contracts /assignment of similar items with traceable contacts of referees
- Should be tax compliant and registered with the Malawi Revenue Authority
ELDS has a policy of zero tolerance to fraud and corruption, and we require staff and suppliers at all times to act honestly and with integrity.
Eligible suppliers are advised to apply for categories which are in line with their registered business. Each Sub category should have a separate application.
Completed pre-qualification documents should be hand delivered and should be cleared labeled on the Envelops not later than 12:00 noon on 5th July, 2024 to:
