Pre-qualification of Suppliers for Goods and Services

Partners In Health (PIH) Malawi, locally known as Abwenzi Pa Za Umoyo (APZU), is an international nongovernmental organization headquartered in Neno and registered by the Non-Governmental Organization Regulatory Authority (NGORA) under registration number NGO/1/7/29. PIH/APZU works across the country in different capacities in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, in the provision of health services, accompaniment, social support, national partnership, and policy development and implementation.

The purpose of this exercise, therefore, is to competitively identify qualified and reliable suppliers to be included in the database of the pre-qualified suppliers who will provide goods and services to PIH/APZU for a period of two years.

The pre-qualified suppliers shall be invited to submit bids as appropriate, and the

subsequent tendering processes shall be subject to the PIH/APZU Procurement Policy

The Chairman, Internal Procurement Committee, on behalf of Partners in Health/ Abwenzi Pa Za Umoyo invites sealed bids from eligible suppliers to be considered for pre-qualification under the following categories:

Pre-qualification Criteria:

All suppliers wishing to be considered for the pre-qualification should include the following requirements in their proposals:

  • Business profile for the company
  • Business registration certificate/Business License
  • Two written references from key/reputable organizations/customers
  • Valid MRA Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC)
  • Valid Public Procurement and Disposal of Asset Authority Certificate (PPDA)
  • Valid National Construction Industry Council Certificate (NCIC) (only applicable to contractors)
  • Valid Certification from MERA (only applicable to Electrical Contractors)
  • Dealership Certificates/Authorization letters for IT services and supplies (applicable to IT suppliers only)
  • Evidence of financial capability (Le. Recent Audited Accounts/ Bank Statements for the past 4 months)
  • Proven experience in supplying or providing similar works or services in the past three years
  • Detailed CVs for key staff where applicable
  • Physical address, contact details (postal, e-mail, phone)
  • Any other information relevant to back up the application.

Applicants can apply for one or more categories depending on their capabilities. Those who may wish to apply for more than one category MUST not combine those categories under one submission as that will lead to disqualification.

Sealed proposals clearly marked “Pre-qualification of Suppliers for Goods and Services” quoting Lot No being applied for MUST be deposited in a Tender Box, located in the PIH/APZU Lisungwi Conference Room by 14.00 hours on 26th August 2024 to the address below:
