PRE-QUALIFICATION OF PROVISION OF MOTOR VEHICLES REPAIR AND SERVICES FOR YEAR 2025/2026

Issue Date: 20th November, 2024

1. The Malawi Electoral Commission has budgeted funds and it intends to apply part of the funds to payments under the provision of Motor vehicle repairs and services

2. The Malawi Electoral Commission now invites interested and eligible motor vehicle repair service providers to submit their Expression of Interest for prequalification together with detailed pre-qualification documents to the address below.

4. The pre-qualification criteria are:

1. Registration with Registrar of Companies and a valid Business Registration Certificate
2. Evidence of Financial capability. A bank statement for 2023/2024 Financial Year and/or proof of access to resources
3. Evidence of Tax Compliance with the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA)
4. Valid registration certificate with Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets
   Authority
5. Availability of staff, qualifications and Curriculum vitae for key staff:
6. Evidence of past performance for the past three years. Attach at least three previous contracts with government ministries/agents/other organizations (Attach copies of LPOs and signed contracts)
7. Verifiable physical address of the business
8. A Brief Company Profile of the company and its key staff members indicating their technical expertise including names and addresses of directors, physical addresses, email and postal addresses as well phone contacts. Copies of IDs of owners or directors of the company should be provided.
9. For every Lot, the bidder should have a physical facility in the Regional centers -Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
10. Due diligence will be conducted as part of the post evaluation to ascertain the recommended bidders technical and financial capacity.
11. Signed application letter for prequalification.

5. Prequalification will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of the Government of Malawi.

6. Expression of Interest clearly marked on the outer envelope with EOl name and reference number must be delivered to the address at 7(b) below and deposited in the tender box located at the Reception of MEC Head Offices in Lilongwe in Procurement Department at or before 14:00hours local time on 19th December, 2024. Electronic submission will not be permitted, and late submission shall be rejected.
