PRE-QUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WAREHOUSE FACTORY FACILITY
PRE-QUALIFICATION – DATE OF ISSUE 12th July 2024
1. MMC LABORATORIES has budgeted funds to construct processing facilities, including a GMP factory and warehouse. The Management now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the pre-qualification for construction works as follows:
2. MMC LABORATORIES intends to pre-qualify contractors for the construction of a new 3000-square-meter facility.
- Civil Works
- Steel Structure Rigging and Erection
- Building and Services Works
3. Pre-qualified bidders eligible for the award of the construction works shall be required to construct the processing facility professionally and safely at our site between 15 August 2024 and 31 January 2025.
4. Bidding will be conducted under open tendering procedures in the Public Procurement Laws and Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi and is open to all eligible bidders.
5. Pre-qualification will be based on Bidders meeting all minimum pass-fail criteria regarding their general experience in particular.
- Warehouse or Steel Structures Construction (Registered with NCIC in the Civil Category)
- Financial Position (Minimum of Two billion Kwacha Turn Over during the past 12 Months)
- ISO Credited or must have a Health and Safety Management System in place
- Provide at least evidence of construction of a warehouse or processing facility of not less than 1000 square meters
- Provide a list of equipment (Minimum of Two Tippers, One Mobile Mixer, One Excavator, One TLB and One Mobile Crane not less than 25 Tons)
6. Interested eligible bidders should submit their proposals by COB 30 July 2024 with the relevant information as indicated in paragraph 5 above, together with corresponding evidence to MMC Laboratories Limited by Email to construction@mmclaboratories.com or hard copies delivered to MMC Laboratories Limited, Construction Office, Mbabzi Estate, Lilongwe, Malawi.
7. MMC Laboratories Limited is not in any way bound to accept the lowest or any bid but reserves the right to exercise the choice of the lowest evaluated, substantially responsive bid and procurement proceedings may be cancelled at any stage.
