OPEN TENDER FOR THE DISPOSAL OF MOTOR VEHICLES

1. The Department of Human Resource Management and Development (DHRMD) intends to carry out an exercise of boarding off Motor Vehicles in the 2024-2025 financial year. The Office therefore invites interested individuals to submit their bids for the purchase of motor vehicles.

2. The Department invites interested bidders for the disposal of the following Motor vehicles:

Bidding will be conducted through open tendering with sealed bids and in full compliance with the provision of Malawi’s Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 27 of 2017 and its Subsidiary Legislations.Bidding is open to Malawian citizens bidders who will be required to submit copies of their national identification cards.

4. Bidders will be allowed to bid for one or all motor vehicles. However, successful bidders will only be allowed to purchase one motor vehicle.

5. In line with Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Law, Department of Human Resource Management and Development staff or their relatives (children, spouses, siblings, parents or guardians) will not be allowed to participate in the bidding process.

6. Viewing of the motor vehicles for all prospective bidders will be held on 13th, 18th and 19th November, 2024 from 14:00 to 16:00 hours local time (Wednesday/ Monday/ Tuesday).

7. Successful bidders will be required to pay 50% of the bid value as deposit within 14 days from the offer date and balance to be paid within 14 days after transfer of tittle.

8. Sealed bids marked with disposal reference number should be deposited in the Tender Box before Thursday, 12th December, 2024 at 14:00 hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted and late bids shall be rejected. Bids willbe opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address given in 9(b) below at 14:00 hours local time on Thursday, 12th December, 2024.
