Farmers Organisation Ltd is a supplier of agrochemicals, plant nutrition products, seeds and spraying equipment. It has a Head Office in Blantyre, and branches in Lilongwe and Mzuzu respectively. The company is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the vacant position at its Lilongwe Branch.

WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

General Description of the Job

The Warehouse Supervisor under supervision of the Branch Manager shall oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse to ensure efficient deployment of personnel and handling of inventory in a manner that complies with the company’s administrative and occupational health and safety standards.

Main Duties:

  • Custodianship of warehouse stock to comply with stocking levels for efficient working capital management
  • Stockroom organisation to optimize warehouse layout and workflows in lieu of inventory classification charts
  • Stock movement management-stock requisitions, receipts and dispatches to customers and inter-branches Maintaining accurate records and reporting-updating of inventory records and submitting ad hoc and periodical reports
  • Conducting ad hoc and periodical stock counts and reconciliations
  • Ensuring that all warehouse operations comply with occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
  • Managing warehouse permanent staff and casual labourers, identifying training needs and facilitating the trainings, and conducting performance monitoring
  • And any other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Accounting/Business Administration/Logistics
  • Malawi Schools Certificate of Education (MSCE) with three years of work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in a busy warehouse
