 1. Protection & Inclusion Coordinator or Officer (1 Post, Mangochi Based)

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Lead Gender, Protection, Ageing, and Disability Priorities: Oversee data collection and strategy development, ensuring safeguarding and GBV principles are applied.
  • Organisational Strategy & Action Plan: Develop and implement an inclusion strategy and action plan for senior management approval, ensuring protection-sensitive assessments.
  • Proposal Development & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead proposal creation on protection and inclusion, and coordinate with donors and partners.
  • Staff Training & Compliance: Build staff capacity on inclusion and CHS accountability, ensuring adherence to PSEA policies and feedback mechanisms.
  • Project Design & Technical Support: Lead needs assessments, ensure gender-sensitive project design, and provide technical support, reporting on protection and inclusion.

Qualification & Experience:

  • BSc/BA/ MSc/MA degree in gender studies, International Law, Human Rights, or Social Science and/or a related subject area
  • Five (5) years’ experience in project management, protection/GBV, disability.
  • Demonstrated experience in mainstreaming protection, gender, ageing and disability in at least two of IR Malawi’s key sectors (WASH, Food security, Livelihoods, Shelter & NFIs).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and representational capabilities. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
  • Be sympathetic to the mission and vision of Islamic Relief and know & adhere to the organization’s strategic objectives.

2. ICT Officer (1 Post) [Blantyre based]  

 Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Ticketing System Management: Input and track data in the ICT ticketing system for efficient issue resolution.
  • ICT Equipment Support: Assist in managing and maintaining ICT equipment at the base, following direction from the Area ICT Infrastructure Lead.
  • First-Line IT Support: Provide initial support, logging calls, resolving common issues, and documenting outcomes.
  • User Setup and Maintenance: Perform new user setups and assist with deploying and maintaining computers, software, and peripherals.
  • Inventory and Risk Management: Maintain IT equipment inventory, identify problems, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or network management.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining IT equipment and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high-level interpersonal, influencing, negotiation and representational capabilities.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential

3. Archiving Assistant (1 Post) [Blantyre based]  

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Organize, archive, and maintain physical and digital records.
  • Ensure proper documentation and secure storage of sensitive information.
  • Facilitate the retrieval of documents for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement IRMW archiving and document retention policies.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Information Management, Library Science, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • At least 1 year of experience in archiving and admin function.
  • Proficiency in document management systems.
  • Previous experience in archiving or records management is an advantage.
