CARE seeks to recruit well qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Transfer & Distribution Officer for 2 months within TITUKULANE project based in Zomba: Position Description – The Transfers and distribution Officer will be responsible for facilitating monthly electronic cash transfers as part of the cash for work activities under the USAID-funded Titukulane Resilience Food Security Activity. The goal of the proposed Titukulane is to build sustainable, equitable, and resilient food and nutrition security for ultra-poor and chronically vulnerable households in Mangochi and Zomba districts. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following: • Developing and managing cash transfer database (payroll) in liaison with the MEAL and NRM team for submission to finance. • Conducting verifications to ensure that all registered participants met the selection criteria. • Coordinating all reporting at district level of various partners and ensure compliance with established program quality standards. • Working with the selected cash transfer service provider to make sure the cash transfers are done timely and accurately. • Addressing all complaints for the satisfaction of the participants. Required education and experience: • University degree in disciplines such as agriculture, Business management, social science and related fields with at least 2 years of relevant project experience. • At least 2 years of work experience in supporting cash transfers |
• Experience with electronic cash distributions • Excellent written and oral communication skills. • Good working knowledge of common office software packages i.e. data processing e.g. excel. • Knowledge or understanding of social, economic, and political context in Zomba and Mangochi.
