Team Leader – Individual Life Sales (Tenable in Lilongwe)
Role Overview
To develop Sales Strategies; responsible for managing, motivating, and advising Sales agents through team supervisors to achieve results, as well as hiring and training new Sales Agents. Solely responsible for the achievement of objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing data on past performance and projecting future performance of the Business Unit.
Key responsibilities
- Performing administrative duties such as maintaining employee databases and sorting emails for the HR department.
- Maintaining proper records of employee attendance and leave to assist with payroll duties
- Assisting the HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring and salary administration.
- Submitting online job postings, shortlisting candidates and scheduling job interviews
- Coordinating orientation and training sessions for new employees
- Serving as a point of contact, providing smooth communication with employees and timely resolution of their queries
- Managing and coordinating schedules for the HR department, including meetings and events.
- Ensuring compliance with employment and labour laws
- Support all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests
- Maintaining physical and electronic records of employees
- Assisting with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and drafting employment contracts
- Maintaining calendars for the HR Management team
- Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefits documentation
- Assisting with performance management processes and procedures to ensure compliance
- Scheduling meetings, interviews, HR events and maintaining agendas Coordinating training sessions and seminars
- Producing and submitting regular and ad hoc HR reports
- Completing termination paperwork and exit interviews
- Keeping up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

Qualification and Work Experience
- At least 10 years work experience in a busy Life insurance sales environment
- Tertiary education in Sales and Marketing, Business Management
- Proven track record of managing sales team
- Business acumen and high levels of integrity
- Qualification(s) in insurance will be an added advantage
