Word Alive Ministries International, a growing Church that is involved in holistically proclaiming the Gospel, through thematic commissions of Assemblies and Missions, Relief and Development and Christian Education, invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced persons and with passion and a sense of calling to work within the church to fill the following vacant position:

Grade: MM3
Location: Blantyre

Qualification & Skills

• A minimum of a Degree in Education or any related field
• Experience as a teacher in an elementary classroom for not less than 2 years
• Training in First Aid for children
• Knowledge in Early Childhood Development
• Strong management and leadership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Responsibilities

• Implement and update curriculum as student needs dictate
• Plan, prepare and maintain all units of study
• Schedule guest presenters
• Establish and maintain classrooms in accordance to Montessori guidelines
• Establish a harmonious relationship with assistants and other staff on campus
• Participate in staff evaluation

Personal Attributes

• A crime free record and experience of working closely with children
• Have the physical capacity to work with pre-school / kindergarten children
• Demonstrated courtesy, respect, compassion, patience and positive attitude with children
• Excellent supervisory skills, personal maturity, sensitivity to gender and cultural issues and
• Ability to relate to people of all levels
• Reasonable understanding of working in Church and FBO environment
• Computer literate
• Dedicated Christian of sound standing in their local church
• A personal sense of God’s call to work within a church
• Must not be less than Twenty Five (25) years of age

Remuneration in line with the Church’s Salary Structure will be offered to the successful candidates.
