Post: Survey Examiner (Grade I)
Salary: Within the Grade I salary scale segment
Location: Department of Lands
Qualifications:
Applicants should be in possession of a Bachelor of Science Degree in any of the following fields: Land Surveying, Earth Science, and Geography, obtained from accredited institutions.
Duties :
- Testing, standardization and registration of all survey equipment.
- Checking surveys to ensure adherence to Land Survey Act and Regulations.
- Conducting field spot checks on doubtful survey.
- Coordinating for all surveys examined by junior staff.
- Developing cadastral data base.
- Checking the quality topographic and map symbology.
- Conducting on job training for new recruits.
Note:
Documentary evidence of major requirements specified in the advertisement shall be required during interviews. Serving officers will also be required to demonstrate during the interviews that they are permanent and pensionable officers in the Civil Service by producing letters of confirmation in appointment in addition to letters of condition of appointment on probation (PSR 19).
