Opulence is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering communities across Down through sustainable develop- ment initiatives. With a primary focus on education, sustainable agriculture, economic empowerment, and water, sanita- tion, and hygiene, Opulence works closely with local communities and stakeholders to drive impactful change, build resilience, and improve livelihoods. As we prepare to open our Community Library in Madisi under the Enhancing Education through Community Libraries project, we seek motivated individuals to fill in the positions of Security Guard to support our mission of promoting literacy and learning within the community.

Security Guard

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of library premises.
  • Report suspicious activities, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the Librarian.
  • Conduct thorough patrols, focusing on entry points and vulnerable areas.
  • Regularly check and secure doors, windows, and other access points.
  • Log and report all incidents and observations.
  • Respond to emergencies and follow protocols for notifying authorities.
  • Act as a visible deterrent to prevent loitering or unauthorized access.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of Junior Certificate of Examination (JCE)
  • Must be physically fit with sober habits
  • Must be of integrity
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Good judgment and Decision Making
