Agricultural Trading Company Limited (ATC), a subsidiary company of AHL Group Plc, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant position of Receptionist /Switchboard Operator tenable at its Head office in Lilongwe.

Position Function

The successful candidate will report to the Administration Assistant and be responsible for supporting the Administration function to ensure effective and efficient accomplishment of Agricultural Trading Company Limited’s strategic goals and objectives.

Main Duties and responsibilities:

Amongst other duties, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Managing incoming and outgoing calls and directing them to various destinations.
2. Managing mail correspondences.
3. Attending to clients and the general public.
4. Assist in administrative tasks.
5. Promoting effective and efficient frontline services to all clients and stakeholders.
6. Detecting and reporting faulty handsets and extensions and recommending them for repairs and maintenance.
7. Conducting minor maintenance of telephone handsets and its accessories.
8. Replacing handsets in extensions where they are not functioning.
9. Monitoring and controlling usage of telephone facilities by employees.
10. Ordering telephone handsets, cables and sockets from the service provider.
11. Updating and circulating internal telephone directories.
12. Any other related duties assigned from time to time

Qualifications/Experience/Personal Specifications 

1. Diploma in Business Administration/Management from a reputable institution
2. Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
3. At least three (3) years’ working experience as a Receptionist / Switchboard Operator.

• Excellent computer skills
