Job Responsibilities

The Productivity Enhancement Programmes (PEP) Specialist will be responsible for effectively and efficiently facilitating, promoting, and implementing Productivity Enhancement Programs in Small andMedium Enterprises (SME).

KEY DUTIES

a) Annual plans and budgets and reporting

  • Participates in the preparation of SME’s PEP Annual Plans and Budgets
  • Report progress for the SME’s PEP Interventions in the Region
  • Participate in the periodic review of PEP initiatives to ensure relevance to the needs of stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and participate in performance reviews.

b) Training and Workshops

  • Facilitate key PEP Interventions to SME stakeholders
  • Engage accredited PEP Experts for the delivery of Small and Medium Enterprise PEP interventions
  • Manage the database and profiles of the capable accredited SME PEP Experts who would best deliver PEP interventions in the Region.
  • Manage the database and profiles of SMEs who would best benefit from PEP interventions in the Region.

c) Collaboration and Communication

  • Participate in awareness programs of SMEs PEPs and Entrepreneurship within the Region
  • Facilitate and Participate in stakeholders’ consultative meetings
  • Enhance linkages between the TEVET Providers and the SME stakeholders in the Region.

d) Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct regular assessments to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate needs assessment targeting SMEs for programme design and delivery
  • Act as a resource person for industry best practices and emerging trends in productivity enhancement for SMEs.

Job Context

Reporting to the Regional Service Centre Manager (North)

Educational Requirements

Bachelor`s degree in Economics, Agriculture Economics, Processing Engineering, Business Administration, and any other related field

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Productivity Enhancement

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
