Position: Personal Nurse

Location: Area 43, Lilongwe

Reports to: Managing Director

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly monitor and document the client’s vital signs.
• Conduct routine health assessments and identify any changes in health status.
• Report any unusual symptoms or significant changes to the client’s physician and family members, as appropriate.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
• Educate the client and family about medications, their effects, and possible side effects.
• Prepare and assist with nutritious meal planning and feeding if necessary.
• Any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• License from Nurses and Midwife Council of Malawi.
• Experience: Prior experience in home health, sanatorium, or personalized patient care settings is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with the client and family members.
• Empathy, patience, and a caring attitude.
• Ability to work independently and make sound judgments in care.
