Creative Centre for Community Mobilization (CRECCOM) is a local Non-Governmental Organization that envisions a future with a resilient, equitable society that has self-motivated citizens responsive to the ever-changing world for the betterment of their welfare. CRECCOM exists to sensitize, mobilize, and empower rural communities to own their development initiatives through their effective participation.
CRECCOM has executed over 50 projects across Malawi around: (i) Institutional Development (ii) Equitable Quality Education (ili) Gender and Women Empowerment (iv) Child Protection and Youth Development (v) Climate Change
Resilient (vi) Health and well-being for all (vii) Social Accountability and Policy Influence.
CRECCOM is seeking to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Officer to be based at its head office in Zomba.
Duties/Responsibilities
Reporting to the M&E Specialist, the MERL officer shall be responsible for:
- Developing results framework based on project requirements and organizational strategic plan
- Designing monitoring and reporting tools in time with contractual requirements and organizational M&E frameworks.
- Coordinating with the program team to ensure coherent data collection and reporting within results frameworks.
- Providing support to program teams through coordination of data collection and analysis and reporting to inform the progress of activities.
- Contributing to measuring the impact of projects based on results frameworks.
- Developing monitoring plans and executing monitoring activities.
- Collecting and reviewing monitoring tools and plans.
- Facilitating implementation of project evaluation activities.
- Any other duties as assigned.
- Tracking down and documenting impact and lessons learnt.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Education/Social Sciences/Development studies or any related field.
Experience/Attributes
- Minimum of three years experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation.
- Conversant with Monitoring and Evaluation, Research and Learning frameworks for donors and organizations.
- Ability to design monitoring tools both manually and electronically.
- Proven skills in data collection and analysis using statistical packages such as Excel, STATA, SPSS, Kobo, and
ODK - Experience in training and providing capacity-building on M&E.
