OSSEDI is seeking a skilled and tech-savvy Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer to lead our data-driven approach. The ideal candidate will be proficient in M&E software, statistical data analysis, and data visualization, as well as adept at utilizing emerging technologies to enhance OSSEDI’s impact and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee the implementation of M&E frameworks and tools for tracking program performance and outcomes. Ensure accurate and timely data collection, management, and reporting across all projects.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Utilize M&E software and statistical packages (such as SPSS, R, or STATA) for high-quality data collection and analysis, transforming data into actionable insights.
- Data Visualization: Develop and maintain data visualization platforms to present data in clear, compelling, and accessible formats, supporting decision-making and program improvement.
- Accountability and Learning: Design and implement accountability and feedback mechanisms to capture community input and drive continuous program improvement.
- Capacity Building: Train and support project teams in M&E best practices, data collection tools, and software to strengthen internal capacity.
- Innovation in Technology: Stay updated on and integrate new technologies to enhance data management, visualization, and analysis processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, or a related field within the development sector.
- Strong proficiency in M&E software (e.g., DHIS2, KoboToolbox, ODK) and statistical analysis packages (SPSS, R, STATA).
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- High level of digital literacy and comfort with technology-driven approaches to M&E.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt in dynamic environments, and maintain accountability to program goals and beneficiaries.
