The Government Health Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians, serving or non-serving, depending on the requirements of the post, for the following vacancies, existing under the establishment of the Ministry of Health:

Post: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Grade: HI
Salary: Within Grade I Government Salary Segment
Location: HIV, Hepatitis and STI Directorate
Qualifications
Applicants must be those in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatics, Statistics, Public Health, Health Informatics, Economics or Monitoring and Evaluation from an accredited University.
Duties:
- Assists in routinely analyzing data from different information systems for use by the HIV, Hepatitis and STI Directorate and partners.
- Assists in the analysis and dissemination of HIV data and will also participate in the HIV projections using Spectrum.
- Supports the application for and implementation of the Global Fund Grant.
- Assists in the preparation of the periodic Progress Updates with Disbursement Request (PUDR) for the grant and will also support the preparation and revision of the performance framework as necessary.
- Supports in facilitating national, district and facility staff capacity building to strengthen M&E system at all levels in the HIV program.
- Plays a supportive role in the coordination of and input into the HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis. STI strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation of programmatic activities.
- Collaborates with the Central Monitoring and Evaluation Division (CMED) to assist in ensuring that tools and systems are in place for the collection and reporting of HIV related data.
- Collaborates with CMED to facilitate data quality assurance.
