Lilongwe Water Board

The Lilongwe Water Board is a Statutory Corporation established in 1947 and re-constituted in 1995 under the Water Works Act (Cap 72). It is responsible for the provision of water supply and sanitation services to the City of Lilongwe and other surrounding areas designated as its supply area. The Board is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates of Malawian origin to fill the following positions that exist within the Board.

Purpose of the job

T0 provide monitoring and evaluation services.

Key duties and responsibilities

  1. Providing technical guidance on monitoring and evaluation.
  2. Carrying out review of all projects and programs.
  3. Working with partners to ensure the collection of relevant data needed for effective M&E system.
  4. Conducting monitoring and evaluation programs on all board operations to check conformity of program implementation to strategic plans
  5. Preparing monitoring systems and facilitating capacity building in monitoring and evaluation
  6. Participating in the consolidation of annual work plans and budget estimates
  7. Liaising with Heads of Division on monitoring and evaluation issues.
  8. Developing and maintaining database for all social and economic information relevant to the Board.
  9. Demonstrating outstanding commitment to service delivery programs of the Board by personally identifying and reporting water bursts/ leakages to customer care Division of which verifiable repair records shall be used during performance appraisal as one of the components to be assessed for time;

Minimum Requirements Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/Civil or Mechanical Engineering/Statistics
