Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The M and E Manager will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and implementing the monitoring and evaluation systems. The role will involve coordinating data collection, analysis, and reporting in line with the M and E framework, strategic plan, and key policies. He/She will be responsible for coordinating impact measurement, including coordinating baseline and impact evaluations. The role will also collaborate with M and E and Programme teams to ensure compliance and timely reporting to management and external stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Oversight

  • Contribute towards strategic planning and implementation by providing technical M and E guidance on project design, implementation, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure M and E activities are aligned with ACADES strategic plan and policies
  • Design and implement a mechanism to ensure the use of data for decision-making across ACADES.
  • Develop and refine M and E framework, tools, and systems to track program outputs, outcomes, and impact.

Data and Impact Management

  • Coordinate data collection and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data.
  • Manage ACADES Farmer Data Management System ensuring integrity and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate routine data quality assessment activities to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and traceability.
  • Identify, analyze, and document, success stories, lessons learned, and best practices from ACADES programs.
  • Coordinate annual program evaluation including conducting baseline, midline, and end-line evaluations.

Supervision and Reporting

  • Support internal and external reporting by producing high quality and timely project reports, and documentation of success stories.
  • Coordinate development and dissemination of annual impact report
  •  Supervise, mentor, and build the capacity of the M and E and Programs team to ensure quality and sustainable practices

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with the program team to ensure alignment of activities to the M and E framework and project objectives.
  • Implement a mechanism to collect feedback from farmers and ensure program activities are responsive to their needs
  •  Ensure compliance with donor M and E requirements including timely sharing of data and reports.\

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in statistics, development studies, monitoring and evaluation, data management, social sciences, or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in monitoring and evaluation or development fields.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to measure project outcomes and support project supervision.
  • Proficiency with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis software including ZOHO, Kobo, SPSS, STATA, PowerBI
  • Strong writing and organizational skills for monitoring and reporting program outcomes and impact
