The Malawi School of Government (MSG) is a unique higher education Statutory Corporation established through Act of Parliament No. 33 of 2022. Our primary mission is to play a pivotal role in shaping Malawi’s present and future by developing and delivering human resource development programmes and enhancing the capacity of the public and private sectors through education and training, research, consultancy, and advisory services. MSG invites suitably qualified, highly motivated and agile candidates to fill the following positions existing at its secretariat and both at Kanengo Campus (formerly Malawi Institute of Management) and Mpemba Campus (formerly Staff Development Institute):
MARKETING OFFICER – SECRETARIAT
Job Summary: To support marketing and communication strategies through digital platforms.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Management
- Implement marketing policies, plans and programs.
- Oversee MSG’s campaigns on social media.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on trends and statistics regarding the use of all the School’s digital media platforms.
Marketing
- Support the development of MSG’s creative designs and digital marketing executions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop eye-catching visuals for various marketing activities that align with MSG’s brand identity.
- Enhance MSG’s online presence and support the launching of optimised online campaigns.
- Design website banners and web audiovisuals.
- Identify and analyse the latest digital trends and technological developments.
- Conduct market surveys and campaigns.
- Draft promotional materials.
Records Management
- Maintain customer database
- Manage and oversee social media accounts across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Qualification and other attributes
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Communication or related fields from an accredited or recognised institution by the National Council for Higher Education.
- An affiliate to a marketing professional body.
- 3 years of experience in digital marketing essential.
