Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi

Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi is a locally registered NGO that has been operating in Malawi since 1995. Our mission is to work with the communities by promoting social and economic development through health, education training, food security, and environmental programs. Our work in development is guided by social cohesion and respect for humanity, implemented through innovative and cost-effective programs. Through a variety of development models, DAPP complements the government’s effort in implementing the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy.

DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified, experienced, and interested candidates to apply for the existing vacant position of lecturer tenable at Amalika TTC in Thyolo District and Chilangoma TTC in Blantyre District.

Purpose of the job

To build a student teacher and the college to become another kind of teacher and college respectively as described in the DAPP Malawi Teacher Training program manual book and by being active and showing responsibility and initiative in the implementation of college activities.

Key Performance Areas

The position holder will have overall oversight maintenance of all aspects of records of the subject areas you are allocated to teach which include but are not limited to; lesson planning, resource development, teaching, and updating of teaching profession records.

Qualification and Attributes

Highly disciplined and self-motivated persons should have academic minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in education obtained from institutions accredited by the National Council for Higher Education, NCHE. Those with a T2 certificate with at least 2 years of primary school teaching experience have added advantage.
