The Company holds an 85% interest in the Kayerekera Uranium Project in Karonga, Malawi. Lotus is committed to generating value for its shareholders, customers, and communities where it operates. The Company is situated in Karonga, Malawi and has its headquarters in Perth, Australia. Lotus will be undertaking refurbishment and maintenance of the process plant and other facilities in preparation for production set to commence in the near future.

Labourers

POSITION SUMMARY

The Labourers will be responsible for performing various physical tasks to support the daily operations of construction, maintenance projects. This role involves working in a fast-paced, and physically demanding environment. The Labourers will assist skilled tradespeople and supervisors in ensuring site safety, and helping with general project activities.

REPORTING TO THE ENGINEERING COORDINATOR, THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Assisting in preparing and maintaining work sites, including clearing debris, setting up equipment, and organizing materials.
  • Supporting electricians, fitters, painters and other tradespeople by providing assistance with their tasks.
  • Performing manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
  • Cleaning work areas and ensure that tools and equipment are stored properly.
  • Reporting safety hazards and incidents to supervisors immediately.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Loading and unloading materials from trucks and other vehicles.
  • Any other general tasks assigned

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Secondary School Certificates
  • Previous experience in construction, mining, or similar labor-intensive work is advantageous. Ability to operate basic tools and equipment.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks.
  • Basic understanding of safety procedures and practices.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to adjust to changing tasks and conditions.
