KITCHEN PORTER
Key Responsibilities:
- As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen. Your duties will include:
- Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
- Cleaning and maintaining all kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas to ensure a hygienic and safe environment.
- Assisting the chef and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Managing waste disposal responsibly and ensuring recycling practices are adhered to. Monitoring kitchen supplies and notifying management when restocking is required. Upholding health, safety, and food hygiene regulations at all times. Etc…
Qualifications and Attributes:
We are looking for a candidate who:
- A born again Christian
- Holds a Certificate in Food and Beverage, Hospitality Operations, or any related field. Has at least 1 year of experience working as a kitchen porter in a professional kitchen.
- ls reliable, hardworking, and motivated to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
- Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to the demands of the role.
- Possesses physical stamina for standing for long periods and handling kitchen equipment.
- Demonstrates a team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
- Shares our Christian values and is respectful of the mission and ethos of God’s Grace Academy. Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required, as training will be provided.
