HeR Liberty is a dynamic youth-led/young women led organisation dedicated to empowering young people with knowledge, skills, and a supportive community that promotes gender equality. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our team and help us assess the impact of our projects.

Position Summary:

This is an entry level position, a Junior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems to assess the effectiveness of HeR Liberty’s programmes. This role involves collecting and analysing data, reporting on project outcomes, and providing insights to support decision-making and improve program performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement M&E frameworks and plans for various programs.
  • Design and conduct data collection activities, including surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to assess program impact and effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular M&E reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure data is used to inform program planning and improvement.
  • Maintain and update M&E databases and documentation.
  • Support capacity building for program staff on M&E practices and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with HeR Liberty’s M&E policies and donor requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 1-2 year experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in a non-profit or development context.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software and M&E tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Commitment to the values and mission of HeR Liberty.
  • Knowledge of local context and fluency in Chichewa is an asset.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • The position is located in Zomba, Malawi, so we encourage applications from individuals who are already residing in Zomba.
