For the Sale of Second-Hand Vehicles

Pact Malawi is inviting tenders for the sale of a fleet of second-hand vehicles. PACT offers its vehicle as listed below for sale through tender “As it is where is basis”.  Interested parties are encouraged to inspect the vehicles before submitting their tenders.

The following vehicles are available for sale:

Inspection of Vehicles
The Bidders may inspect the vehicle in the office premises of Pact Malawi, Amina House, Paul Kagame Road between 9:00am and 11:00am from Friday, September 6, 2024, to Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Submission of Tenders
Interested buyers are required to submit their tenders according to the following instructions:

  1. Reach out to Henry Magombo at hmagombo@pactworld.org
  2. Henry will provide a template to use for your tender.
  3. Please complete this tender template.
  4. Once completed, please submit by hand (in a sealed envelope indicating lot number) to The IPC chair, at Pact Malawi office at Amina House Paul Kagame Road. Please include a copy of the appropriate ID in your tender. Refer to numbers 6–8 under terms and conditions. Additionally, upon submitting the tender, interested parties must register with Pact at the reception desk.

Tenders must be received by 12 noon September 11, 2024.

Evaluation and Award
Tenders will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Highest offer price per vehicle.
  • Buyer’s ability to complete the purchase promptly.

Pact Malawi reserves the right to accept or reject any tender and is not obliged to accept the highest offer.

Payment terms
Successful bidder(s) will be expected to make an initial deposit of 40% of the total value for each vehicle bided for immediately confirmed as successful bidder and balance of 60% paid within 3 working days in favor of Pact Inc, payable at Pact Inc dedicated bank account.  If the successful bidder is not able to pay the 60% within 3 working days, the bidder be refunded the 40% deposit and cancel the bid.  If this occurs, the tender will go to the alternate bidder.  If the 60% payment comes late, the bid will be cancelled.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Vehicles are sold on an “as-is, where-is” basis with no warranties implied or given.
  2. Successful bidders must complete payment and collect the vehicles within 5 (Five) days of the award notification.
  3. All costs related to the transfer of ownership and transportation of vehicles are the responsibility of the buyer within 7 working days of full payment by the successful bidder.
  4. The Bidders may quote for a vehicle or multiple vehicles.
  5. Interested parties are requested to express their interest via email at hmagombo@pactworld.org to obtain the required form for submission. Any deviation from this will not be allowed and liable to cancel the bid.
  6. For individuals: The individual shall submit along with the letter of intent, a copy of his/her valid identification card i.e. passport, National Identity Card, Driver’s License or Voters Card.
  7. For NGOs: The organization shall submit, along with the letter of intent, a copy of business registration certificate.
  8. For businesses: The business shall submit, along with the letter of intent, a copy of their business registration certificate.
  9. Pact reserves the right to reject or cancel the bid/bids or the entire auction process without assigning any reasons thereof.
  10. Successful bidders are responsible for paying duty and clearing vehicles with MRA.
