The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant posts that exist in the different sectors of Nkhotakota District Council.

JOB TITLE : INCLUSIVE EDUCATION OFFICER (PRIMARY SCHOOL)

GRADE: 1/M6

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Special Needs) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in basic education.

DUTIES

  1. Screening and assessing learners with special educational needs.
  2. Data collection and compiling.
  3. Conducting Inclusive Education (IE) trainings.
  4. Monitoring and supervising lE in schools.
  5. Home visits for activities of daily living skills for learners with disabilities.
  6. Teaching prevocational skills e.g. tailoring, adaptive chair making, and farming.
  7. Conducting meetings with parents of children with disabilities.
  8. Invigilating learners with special educational needs.
  9. Writing reports.
  10. Lobbying resources for children with disabilities from other partners and sectors.
  11. Coordinating with different sectors.
