The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant posts that exist in the different sectors of Nkhotakota District Council.
JOB TITLE : INCLUSIVE EDUCATION OFFICER (PRIMARY SCHOOL)
GRADE: 1/M6
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Education (Special Needs) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in basic education.
DUTIES
- Screening and assessing learners with special educational needs.
- Data collection and compiling.
- Conducting Inclusive Education (IE) trainings.
- Monitoring and supervising lE in schools.
- Home visits for activities of daily living skills for learners with disabilities.
- Teaching prevocational skills e.g. tailoring, adaptive chair making, and farming.
- Conducting meetings with parents of children with disabilities.
- Invigilating learners with special educational needs.
- Writing reports.
- Lobbying resources for children with disabilities from other partners and sectors.
- Coordinating with different sectors.
