Introduction

R4H (formerly known as Riders for Health) is an NGO working to improve healthcare delivery in Africa. R4H has been working with Ministry of Health and Population in establishing a well-coordinated, reliable national Sample Transport mechanism. Since 2011, R4H has been working in healthcare logistics, transporting clinical samples and results, undertaking healthcare waste management, and road safety training.

R4H seeks to fill the following open positions of Human Resources and Administration Officer- Maternity Cover (1), to support the upward trajectory of the organization.

Title: Human Resources and Administration Officer- Temporary (1)

Location: Lilongwe, Malawi

Reports To: Human Resources and Administration Manager

Direct Reports: Office Assistant (2)

Duration: 4 Months

Purpose of the position

The Human Resources & Administration Officer supports the head of HR & administration in recruitment process, contract issuance, payroll processing, medical plan administration, maintains staff records, and supports absence management. He/she support onboarding and performance management. Additionally, the HR Admin Officer support in management of facilities including payment of rentals and all office utilities.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related fields from recognised and accredited institution
• 4 years’ practical experience in human resources management in a busy organisation preferably in Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO)
• Knowledge of the labour laws
• Experience in using HR payroll and information systems. Sage, PeopleSoft etc
• People management and coaching skills
• Strong verbal and written skills
