Background
The Coalition for the Empowerment of Women and Girls (CEWAG) is a human rights non-governmental organization. It was founded and registered with the Malawi Government in February 2017. It is also registered with Council for Non-Governmental Organizations (CONGOMA) and The NGO Authority (NGORA)
GENDER AND COMMUNITY LIAISON OFFICER
RESPONSIBILITIES
To coordinate teams for regular gender and SEA interventions, including awareness and publicity, while liaising with local councils, government agencies, and communities to prevent discrimination on GBV/SEA/Child Protection. Provide education, awareness, and referral services on employment opportunities, gender discrimination, GBV, VAC, and child exploitation, ensuring prompt response and access to redress and support services.
QUALIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES
- A degree from a recognized institution
- Atleast 5 years experience working in a busy environment
- Strong communication skills
- Strong commitment to GBV/SEA and child protection values
- Teamplayer
- Willing to be based at Jenda, Mzimba
