POST: Fisheries Assistant (Grade L)

| QUALIFICATIONS | Applicants must be in possession of Certificate in Fisheries Management |
| RESPONSIBLE TO | Assistant Fisheries Officer (Grade K/TO) |
DUTIES
- Participating in Capture Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Surveys
- Conducting Fisheries Inspectorate activities and enforcing Fisheries regulations
- Conducting training sessions for fish farmers and fishing communities
- Carrying out production of seed for stocking of Fish in production systems
- Ensuring capture fisheries and aquaculture data is collected and updated
- Inspecting the quality of Fish and ensure that the safety standards are adhered to by Fish traders and processors
- Assisting in general management work at the station; and
- Submitting monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
