FINANCE OFFICER

Foundation for Civic Education and Social Empowerment (FOCESE) is a registered youth-led NGO working in rural communities to engender holistic positive transformation and empower the lives of the most vulnerable and excluded young people especially adolescent girls and young women to ensure they harness their potential and contribute to nation building economically, socially and politically.

Duties and Responsibilities

Administer and monitor the financial system in order to ensure that finances are maintained in an accurate and timely manner. . Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all moneys. Administer the monthly payroll in order to ensure that employees are paid in an accurate and timely manner.

Experience and competencies

  • At least 2 years experience of similar position and task
  • Minimum of a Diploma in Accounting or Business
  • Knowledge in computerized accounting programs, generally accepted accounting principles, administration of employee benefits, payroll systems, spreadsheet and word processing programs at a highly proficient level
