Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC)
The Malawi Human Rights Resource Centre (MHRRC) seeks to engage the services of a Finance Manager.
SCOPE
This is a middle management position entrusted with the responsibility of providing financial and leadership to the MHRRC with the guidance of the Executive Director and the Board of Trustees. It provides strategic leadership in the arcas of fiscal transparency and accountability of the MHRRC and its constituent partners.
THE PERSON
- S/He must have extensive experience working with external and local donors.
- S/He must have sound knowledge of the operations and mechanism of the Central Government.
- Invariably a high degree of integrity and practical knowledge of project programming will be essential.
- As s/he will be at the helm of the Finance Department, sound managerial skills in financial administration, human resource management and fair understanding of programming and project implementation are exceptionally a must.
- The person must have extensive knowledge of civil society and its operations both locally and internationally.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree, those with a Postgraduate Degree in Finance and/or Administration, or ACCA/CIMA will have an added advantage. They must have proven experience in managing NGOs at middle management level for 5 or more years.
