1. Finance Coordinator (1 Post, Blantyre Based)
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Report to the Finance Manager
- Implement & ensure that IR Malawi staff adheres to the organization’s financial policy and Procedures to comply with donor/ audit requirements.
- Maintain overall budget control and monitor the project’s cash flow to ensure that funds are used according to the project’s requirements
- Ensure the compliance of the Malawian government local financial legal requirements by studying existing laws, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
- Support Finance Manager in preparation of monthly Fund Note Report, donor reports and verify the month end closing transactions.
- Other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification & Experience:
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- Experienced in accounting and finance or similar role for a minimum 5-years preferably in humanitarian context (e.g. working for International/National NGOs and/or UN Agencies.
- Demonstrable skills in the development of finance and accounting policies, procedures and reporting systems in the donor context of an international NGO.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate diplomatically in a diverse, multicultural environment.
- Excellent IT Systems, use of MS Word, Excel, and Power-Point.

2. Program Coordinator (1 Post, Blantyre Based)
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Reports to Head of Programme (HoP)
- The position also has responsibility for the programme budget and line management responsibility of the project related staff by providing them support, guidance and mentoring.
- Manage overall projects paying specific attention to the planning, budgeting, implementing, monitoring the project and designing of the trainings and other community level activities to ensure that positive elements of early recovery and development approaches and methods are utilized and linked.
- Identifying potential projects aiming at mitigated disasters’ effects, integrated and sustainable development while supporting all project coordinators for effective management of all project staff.
- Provide timely and high-quality monthly progress reports and donor narrative project reports to management in line with reporting timelines.
- Assist the HoP in design and development of new projects upon coordinating and working closely with Project, MEAL and Finance & Admin Coordinators.
Qualification & Experience:
- BSc in development economics, Agriculture economics, Agriculture, Project Management, or any related field.
- At least 5 years of experience of working with International NGOs in developing countries especially in disaster affected and emergency contexts.
- Experience of developing proposals and reporting for a variety of donors
