Field Officer (2)

Tenable in Neno the incumbent will be responsible for implementation of the Climate Change Adaptation and Sustainable Energy (CCASE) Project. Project development management and dissemination of best practices to enhance project effectiveness. He or she will be answerable to the District Project Coordinator.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing tools for capturing and sharing knowledge and experiences with project stakeholders.
  • Producing, publishing and disseminating knowledge products for project holders and donors. This will include production of project briefs, factsheets, how-to guides, lessons learned publications, testimonials, podcasts, videos, etc.
  • Undertaking background research, review and synthesizing of documents, and conducting interviews, among others.
  • Storing all project data and documentation for future use.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Knowledge Management, Communications and related disciplines (e.g. Marketing, Economics, Development Studies),
  • 4-5 years relevant work experience.
  • A solid understanding of knowledge management principles, practices, tools and products.
  • Experience in designing, planning and implementing knowledge management-related initiatives, coordinating/collaborating with other teams and executing/ facilitating programmes and events involving knowledge management or learning.
  • Prior experience in M&E in development work is an added advantage.
  • Experience in computer-based data management systems.
  • Good understanding of key aspects of development work, including food, health, nutrition, livelihood security and integration of disaster mitigation and climate change response.
  • Commitment to international and humanitarian NGO codes, standards and practices
