POSITION: Field Assistant-Agriculture
LOCATION: Thyolo District
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Supporting establishment & training of producer groups in Farmer Field Business school approach
- Training of farmers in agriculture production techniques
- Supporting Community Based Trainers in extension service delivery
- Promoting sustainable intensification of local climate- resilient food production
- Providing agriculture extension services to farmers
- Producing monthly Project reports
- Supporting in data collection, documentation & reporting
Qualification:
- Diploma or degree in general Agriculture
- Strong experience in working with producer groups
- Knowledge of farmer business school approach and providing extension services to farmers
- Strong experience in emergency response & resilience development
- Ability to work in rural Areas
- Strong communication and Organizational skills
