Malawi Housing Corporation
The Malawi Housing Corporation, a statutory corporation established by the Malawi Housing Corporation Act (cap. 32.02) of the Laws of Malawi is looking for suitably qualified, dynamic and experienced, mature individuals with no criminal record, to fill the following vacant positions existing in its establishment.
POST – ESTATES CLERK
LOCATION – REGIONAL OFFICES EAST (1) SOUTH (1) CENTRE (2)
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Checking illegal tenants, illegal encroachers and illegal plot developers
- Advising applicants on how to acquire plots and houses
- Compiling waiting list for houses and plots
- Inspection of vacation and occupation of houses
- Creating and updating data and account numbers for houses
- Compiling and producing monthly eviction waiting list of defaulters
- Preparing stop notices for illegal developers and encroachers
- Compiling all clients queries and submitting them to relevant officers for action Responding to queries regarding plots and house and other MHC services
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Certificate in Estates Management, Land Management or any relevant field Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience in managing estates
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Estates Management
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter, flexible and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good Coordination and planning skills, problem solving skills
- Team player
