DRIVER/UNDERTAKER (3)

Location: Lilongwe & Blantyre

Job Description

This role mainly entails safely transporting the deceased and individuals along designated routes as assigned.

Specific Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Client Service Consultant, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting all funerals in a professional manner at all times
  • Driving allocated vehicle to remove the deceased from place of death to parlour
  • Driving allocated vehicle to ferry the deceased to place of burial
  • Operating and cleaning cemetery equipment
  • Checking all cemetery equipment after use and reporting any faults
  • Conducting chapel service
  • Logging mileage and reference for all trips
  • Recording fuel transaction in vehicle mileage logbook
  • Washing, dressing and embalming
  • Complying with Drivers laid down rules
  • Pitching tents
  • Night duties

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Malawi School Certificate of Education
  • Driving licence
  • Defensive Driving Certificate
  • Any relevant Medical Certificate
  • Minimum practical experience of 3 years in a similar role

  • Ability to carry out assignments on time
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
