Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi

Development Aid from People to People (DAPP) Malawi is a locally registered NGO that has been operating in Malawi since 1995. Our mission is to work with the communities by promoting social and economic development through health, education training, food security and environmental programs. Our work in development is guided by social cohesion and respect for humanity, implemented through innovative and cost-effective programs. Through a variety of development models, DAPP complements the government’s effort in implementing the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy II.

DAPP Malawi is inviting suitably qualified and experienced persons to apply for the positions listed below for the USAID funded ENABEL project that aims at improving learning outcomes and the socio-emotional development of children in Africa and Malawi in particular by having a more competent, motivated and inclusive teacher workforce. The project’s specific objective will be to enhance teachers’ capabilities for improved learning outcomes and socio-emotional development of children in targeted primary schools of Dowa District, focusing on improving foundational learning.

Reports to The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.

Key Performance Areas

  • Compile data from the various source registers and make sure all data is entered in relevant databases
  • Provide real time data when requested
  • Conduct Data Quality Assessments
  • Conduct monthly data verifications and validations
  • Submit weekly IPTT to M&E officer
  • Ensure relevant documents (registers, data collection forms) are well organized and stored safely.
  • Compiling, sorting, and verifying the accuracy of information before it is entered in the database.
  • Conduct weekly data verification and cleaning for all services
  • Identification and correcting errors or reporting them to supervisor
  • Assist in training project technical team in data collection tools and reporting.
  • Provide supportive supervision to coaches at school level
  • Support the documentation and archiving of project-related information, including success stories, lessons learned, and best practices
  • Participate in Planning and Monitoring of activities

Qualification and Experience

  • Certificate/Diploma in M and E or in social science, statistics, Information Technology or any other related course from reputable college/university.
  • Excellent typing and transcript skills, including typing fast speeds
  • Strong understanding and experience working with digital data collection tools.
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Sense of ownership and pride in performance
  • Team player
