BACKGROUND
Rainbow Rights Education and Awareness Limited (RREA) is a Human rights organization established in 2014 and duly incorporated under the Companies Act No. 15 of 2013.

RREAL is a sub-recipient of the FHI360 award, implementing a USAID/PEPFAR-funded EPIC project.

The organization is seeking suitably qualified and interested Malawian citizens to contribute their high level of expertise to the organization and program through the following positions.

Position 1: Clinical Coordinator (1)

Job Description

Position:  Clinical Coordinator

Reports to:  Program Manager

Work Station:  Blantyre (50% Travel)

Clinical Coordinator is a full-time position within the RREA EPIC project establishment.

The Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for implementing HIV biomedical interventions among key populations (KP) under the EPIC program in conformity with the Malawi National Strategic Plan of the National AIDS Commission (NAC). EPIC Project is being implemented across three districts: Balaka, Phalombe, and Blantyre providing comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and treatment services including HIV testing services, PREP, ART initiation through ‘Test and Start”, and ART refill.

In collaboration with the respective Directorate of Health and Social Service Offices, S/he will work with health facility teams to ensure the provision of integrated SRH services reaches underserved Key Populations through Outreach Mobile clinics.

Duties and Responsibilities

·       Coordinate comprehensive HIV Prevention, sexual reproductive health, and HIV testing Services at mobile outreach clinics as per national guidelines and quality assurance using national reporting tools.

·       Work with the DHO clinical team to organize clinical and laboratory tests and specimens including viral load dry blood spots for clinical mobile outreach.

·       Provide information, educational, and counseling services to Community Outreach workers and clients in a timely, professional, and client-focused manner.

·       Provide mentorship and supervision of KPLHIV support groups on ART retention and adherence.

·       Collect and report clinical data and prepare quality and timely monthly reports.

·       Support actively tracking referrals for HIV care, treatment, and support services.

·       Maintain good quality clinic data and adequate commodities consumption records, calculate consumption, and make requisitions on time to avoid stockouts.

·       Support M&E conduct data quality assessment. The team will verify and validate the data quality of HIV monitoring tools, comparing source records with other tools such as ART and HTS registers and Electronic Medical Records

Qualifications

·       Minimum of a Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery, Clinical Medicine, or related field from a reputable and accredited institution. Those with a degree and skills in qualitative and quantitative methods, monitoring, and evaluation will have an added advantage.

·       Must be licensed to practice by the Medical Council of Malawi or the Nurses Council of Malawi.

·       Should preferably be an ART Provider or have a good understanding of National HIV guidelines.

·       At least 2 years’ work experience in project implementation and data management for an HIV/AIDS or any health-related project.

Knowledge and Skills

·       Motivated, enthusiastic, sensitive, and genuine desire to serve alongside others;

·       Knowledge of computer MS Office applications and Data entry Software.

·       Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication skills, Fluency in written and spoken English and Chichewa.
